Afternoon Tea in Dubai just got more extravagant with a touch of arabesque at one of my favorite hotels, The Palace Downtown Dubai.
The Palace Afternoon Tea is inspired by and caters to Middle Eastern fare with an extraordinary flair boasting various Arabic treats with a twist as well as flavorsome ingredients to highlight a quaint afternoon tea experience.
In addition, the pièce de résistance, The Place Cappuccino is adorned with 22 carat gold dust (leaf) served with homemade macarons flavored uniquely of lavender, rose and pistachio.
Sweet and savory selection of The Palace Afternoon Tea are available which include finger sandwiches from the ever loved chicken shawarma to a distinctive mille feuille aubergine with Arabic bread.
The glorious scones at the palace have been enhanced to include saffron and cardamom laced scones accompanied with fruit jam, clotted cream and date syrup (dibs).
Go wild just as I did and generously spread hummus on a freshly baked scone and you’ll be surprised by the delicious taste.
A few highlights apart from the gold dressed cappuccino is the delicate and delicious rose petal cheesecake, a chocolate qatayef, the camel milk pistachio crème brulee and the aromatic tea, Red of Arabia.
From the Traditional Afternoon Tea, a blueberry yogurt tea cake, a mixed berry tart cake, freshly baked scones and the passion fruit crème brulee.
An afternoon tea that’s a must visit experience in Dubai whilst you relax and soak in the views along with a live violinist set by Olga Trifonova performing a repertoire of songs from Europe and Middle East
The Palace Afternoon Tea priced AED150 includes a selection of tea or coffee. Traditional Afternoon Tea is available as well; priced at AED120 includes a selection of tea or coffee.
