Nestled away from the bedlam of the city life, Desert Palm is a retreat within the city offering a sensory Per AQUUM designs as well as tucking away one of the prime dining experiences of Dubai, Rare.
The contemporary restaurant catering European cuisine and grill, Rare overlooks a lush green polo field and the Dubai skyline, although unmistakably noticeable before sunset and faintly distance at night fall from the outdoor terrace while the indoor sets an idyllic ambiance with an open pan kitchen and dim lighting albeit falls short in seating arrangement that’s far fetch from a closeness one desires when dining in an intimate setting.
The Atlantic Lobster Bisque with tarragon scented creamy lobster with a slight saffron infusion was bold in taste, a prominent dish at the restaurant and for the night.
Pan Seared Scallops with apple turnip puree, shaved vegetables, pickled morel mushrooms, beef chorizo, & pumpkin seed vinaigrette was scrumptious with a bite of the perfectly seared fresh sizable scallops.
While the Black Truffle Burrata although impressive in ingredients and combination from the concorde grape compote, citrus emulsion, savory granola, & toasted brioche was robust in flavor but lacked the enthralling experience as the chill of the burrata dampened the granola.
The piece de resistance of any grill or steakhouse is the quality and various meat cuts. At Rare, the Australian 300 Day Grain Fed Black Angus from Rangers Valley, Grass Fed Heritage Angus from Alberta and delicious Australian 400 Day Grain Fed Wagyu, Stock Yard are the prime choices available at Rare and grilled with faultlessness as requested and does justice as the cuts of meats was impeccably paired with the sides of potato puree with white truffle oil and sautéed spinach along with wild mushroom, thyme & veal jus and green peppercorn sauce.
For a victual experience with a view and taste for steaks, one must visit and dine at Rare.
