Chaat is always fun when you dine with friends. True Story.
Allow me to speak for the multitude…
We crave for the mix of hot spices and tanginess subdued with a dash of fresh yogurt and the crunch of the crispy sev to top off the taste.
The mix of sweet and savory snacks fuels India and is typically sold at street side stalls and food carts all across India and it’s dirt CHEAP. 😀
The most popular ones and to name a few are: bhel puri, dahi puri, panipuri, dahi vada, papri chaat, samosa chaat and sev puri and nearly all chaat variations share common elements such as yogurt; chopped onions and coriander; sev; and chaat masala.
In Dubai, many Indian eateries and dedicated chaat counters are spread across from old Dubai to new Dubai with more branches easily accessible in old Dubai, especially in Karama and little Indian a.ka. Bur Dubai.
Surprisingly, LuLu Hypermarket sets up a chaat counter which serves up delicious and a quick fix when in dire need as well, yay!
When dining with a Delhite, always eat pani puri at the counter. You’ve been warned!
My chaat cravings have so far lead me to taste and experience the various offerings at several branches in Sharjah and in Dubai. Yet, I’m still to try nearly all the chaat options available as I mainly crave for the ones I truly love. Guilty!
OKAY! You can probably tell by now that I love Samosa Chaat. 😀 Feel free to share your favorite chaat eats!
