Once again, Abu Dhabi leaves me in amazement.
It’s impressive, from sleek interiors to high-end fashion stores, for which I had to restrain myself from entering. How can one resist the lust of a Dior shop, or the soothing shades of a Céline bag and worse, SALE signage plastered across the windows of the various stores? Damn near impossible!
I strut and my feet enter the ever so slick and stylish Emporio Armani Caffé, a far cross from the cozy Italian dining aspects. The classiness with the shades of black, white and grey set the Armani café tone with impeccable services to follow.
How was the service better you ask?
• The manager noticed I needed the Wi-Fi password, as the distinct red of the Armani sign up page lit on my phone. Impressive!
• Second, I visit back a week later for a media event, only to be greeted by my name from the manager and the server. Pure class.
Surprisingly, the food at Armani scores a top notch as well, with the perfectly cooked octopus salad (a rarity on most menus) served with plump cherry tomatoes and a selection of freshly baked bread with the unique crispy saffron bread that had me craving for seconds served with olive paste.
From the mains, the succulence of the grilled chicken with sautéed potatoes and sage, a dish of simplicity masked with a bang of flavor and perfection.
When in Armani, you drink coffee.
Emporio Armani Caffé caters an array of coffee selection made the true Italian way for the taste buds to savor whilst you enjoy the impeccable views of Abu Dhabi city.
I was left in admiration of the Italian fare and the keenness to service, which sadly to say is a rarity in Dubai. Albeit a location in Dubai, I never did visit, but glad I decided to dine in Abu Dhabi.
