A drive on Jumeriah Beach Road towards Jumeirah 1 and opposite the Beach Centre Mall will lead you to Comptoir 102, located in villa 102, thus the name!
Co-owned by the beautiful Alex and Emma, Comptoir 102 inviting store and café transports to you the tales of travels which unearth little treasures and share the rare and the taste exquisite along with the delicate and the confidential creations which Comptoir sources out from around the world. The select interior design, art or fashion accessories are unique in their own way but with an expensive price tag.
A welcoming ambiance greets your entrance with an indoor and outdoor seating adjacent to Comptoir 102 café, N/102. The menu, a brainchild of Chef Chris Clark who is skilled in macrobiotic cooking offers exquisite healthy, nutritional and organic eats. The produce is sourced out from local grown with organic certificate suppliers to ensure the food served is of the highest care and concern towards health and wellbeing.
Raw food is slowly but surly grasping the Dubai food scene and Comptoir 102 is one of the few to offer dishes that are made with nutritional values with no compromise to the taste.
A bite into the “gluten free quiche” was a love at first taste along with the desserts; the “chocolate mousse” which I was informed is not in any sense a standard recipe, as it lacks dairy, eggs and flour! The raw and vegan “cheesecake” with an almond & coconut base with its blueberry and maple syrup reduced topping was another treat with the semi-sweet blueberries complementing the cheesecake. Healthy decadence at its best experienced at Comptoir 102.
