The famed BOA Steakhouse has made its debut in the Middle East with a picturesque location at Eastern Mangroves Promenade overlooking the stunning Eastern Mangroves and the U.A.E capital, Abu Dhabi.
The lounge at BOA sets a sleek vibe and well fit for pre-drinks with a view of the water front which is always a plus and a Wine Spectator award-winning wine list. Winning!
BOA puts a spotlight on the classic salad choice: Caesar Salad made table-side. The salad, which I’ve been contentedly conveyed is sold in numbers at their main branches back in Los Angeles.
In deep excitement, I viewed the table side service as the waiter for the night rolled over the caesar salad trolley and I watched as the not-so-secret dressing was made from selective ingredients with far from the norm of a the traditional take. The distinctive BOA dressing was stirred and the lettuce leaves tossed providing a keen foodie entertainment and an insight to the use of various ingredients, and with an addition of grilled chicken, voila – the caesar salad is served!
Albeit, not an appealing dish at first glance, the taste surpasses the expectations of a caesar salad. The use of champagne vinegar and the unique 16 clicks of freshly cracked pepper is what separates the BOA Steakhouse caesar salad from the rest.
Another appetizer dish to try is a savory take on the Turkish pastry baklava with BOA introducing cheese within the flaky crispy thin strips of the filo pastry to create the signature Goat Cheese Baklava.
The flaky moist Jumbo Crab Cake served with Cajun remoulade proved a stellar start and taste of the seafood capabilities at the steakhouse.
It’s a rarity to find a bone-in meat cut and that’s what BOA does best with the signature 21 day dry aged bone-in rib-eye prepared to one’s perfection and served with hearty side portions proving a worthy meal for and personally, considering a drive all the way from the Emirate of Sharjah.
The Jumbo Prawns were in fact, jumbo sized served with a simple yet lush butter sauce – delicious!
To top off an exquisite meal and a wonder staycation experience in Abu Dhabi, the desserts at BOA are a gateway to true American favorites combined to create a decadent dessert menu. The delectable Yellow Butter Cake with its melt-in-your –mouth buttery consistency was delightfully worth the calorie gain.
At BOA, my tasted buds concurred that the restaurants has managed to perfect both, turf and surf options which leave you craving for more and trip down to BOA.
