Grand Hyatt is situated in the heart of Dubai and elates elegance with ease. Al Nakheel Lounge, positioned on an elevated platform is visible just as you enter the grand foyer of the hotel is one of the main attractions.
Al Nakheel is decked in heavy lustrous hues of gold and the most prominent feature is a pineapple shaped crystal chandelier hanging high above the ceiling of Dubai’s most popular hotel, Grand Hyatt.
As a lounge, the menu is limited to light yet sizable sandwiches, salads, sweet treats along with hot and cold thirst-quenchers. Al Nakheel also serves a decadent high tea or better known as, afternoon tea experience for an extremely pocket-friendly price per couple and the reason for my recent-repeated visits.
The afternoon tea is priced 120 AED per couple. Yes, PER COUPLE. A steal of a price in comparison to the price tags on the various afternoon tea options around Dubai.
The three-tier afternoon tea includes, pastries with seasonal fruits & berries, signature Hyatt cakes and light finger sandwiches which are petite yet satisfactory. A pot of tea from Al Nakheel’s limited yet exclusive tea selection was well paired with warm scones served alongside traditional clotted crème & jam.
The high tea experience is worth every hundred and twenty dirhams spent. Personally, a downside, due to the popularity of Grand Hyatt Dubai; the lobby during peak hours tend to be a tad boisterous.
